One of my favorite documentaries that captures my listening work is not one that I made – it was created by Brut Documentaries Jessey Dearing and it features the work of the very inspiring Erniko Brown working in frontline communities in Mississippi. I joined her with Rev. Michael Malcom and friends to listen. Jessey shares the story of the community fighting for their forests and their health in the short film “Fighting for the Right to Breathe”. This important film ends with one of the most special moments – a hug, a moment of stillness to care for each other.
