Thanks to Denver University Magazine for covering “Who Gets to Thrive: Issues of Sustainability and Diversity go Hand in Hand. It is an honor to be included in this issue. We absolutely can not talk about sustainability without real equity and inclusion. And, these conversations need to be about 1. who is currently the most impacted by pollution 2. who is currently and will be the most impacted by climate change impacts and 3. who is at the leadership table when creating sustainability solutions. All organizations, businesses, governments need to include equity and inclusion plans in their sustainability plans – and they need to do some real work, real investment, real listening.
