The set: a beautiful mountain in Virginia with Hollywood movie director and champion for Dogwood Alliance and Southern forest protection, Ron Maxwell, celebrated for such films as Gettysburg and Gods and Generals.

It was thrilling to be there to watch the filming of this video as Maxwell shares his passion for the natural world along with grave cautions about the growing threat of biomass (the burning of trees for electricity) that our forests face.
