winner storyteller award – best documentary film

I won the Storyteller Award for Best Documentary Film at the Micropolitan Film Festival! I am so honored to help share these women’s stories. Thank you to the Micropolitan Film Festival judges, Moms Clean Air Force for making this national listening tour happen, and to the team Francine Cavanaugh, Adams Wood, and all who helped film across America, and most of all to the strong, inspiring women, my heroes, who shared their stories, their reality and their truth with me.

About “The Story We Want” : Dayna Reggero and the Climate Listening Project traveled across America with Moms Clean Air Force to listen to women who are working together to protect their families and communities. They listened to ordinary women—unsung heroes— confronting fossil fuel industries, climate change impacts, and a culture of extraction. These individuals are doing research, planting seeds of hope, and inspiring people across the country to share their stories, take action, and find solutions. “The Story We Want” shares their stories in a five part web series. This series shows the ways we are connected by love and emphasizes the importance of telling our stories to create the future we want and the story we want: a story of hope. Watch the film here.
