2016 Wild & Scenic Film Festival
at Sierra Nevada
September 1, 2016
MountainTrue‘s 2016 Wild & Scenic Film Festival is sold out, with 400 people planning to attend and enjoy the best short-form nature, wilderness and outdoor adventure films. This year’s festival takes place on the beautiful grounds of Sierra Nevada’s Mills River Brewery near Asheville under the open sky of an outdoor amphitheater carved into the side of a hill and located on the banks of the French Broad River. The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is a selection of films from the annual festival held in Nevada City, CA which is now in its 14th year. This Festival sits apart from the hundreds of festivals around the world by leaving you feeling inspired and motivated to go out and make a difference in your community and the world.
There is still an opportunity to treat yourself to VIP Tickets for the best views in the house with special, priority lawn seating in the outdoor amphitheater. Plus, VIP Tickets get you a private, sustainability-focused tour of Sierra Nevada’s award-winning brewery and an intimate reception with refreshments and hors d’oeuvres in the rarely seen Founders Room before the festival.
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival VIP event also features climate scientist Deke Arndt and filmmaker Dayna Reggero for a special Climate Listening Project screening.
