One summer, I lived in the Italian Alps, working as a volunteer in a preserved forest in Bagni di Masino and for a brief time on the beaches of Lake Como. Towering mountains, moss covered forest trails, tiny mountain villages, delicious food, lovely people… it was an amazing experience. I also visited Sicily for a week to sun bathe on the beautiful beaches and traveled through the cities and countryside, Rome, Florence, Sienna, and Tuscany.
